New Trends & Inspiration from High Point Market
May always feels like a reset point. As the weather finally warms up and homes come alive again, we all start thinking about refreshing our spaces and making new moves, both personally and financially. This season, I’ve been especially inspired after returning from my trip to High Point Market, the largest home furnishings industry event in the world; aka the holy land for interior designers…
Walking through showroom after showroom, every space told a clear story and reminded me why I love design so much. From sculptural lighting to rich textures and organic materials, the overall trend was clear: homes are becoming softer, warmer, more personal and more livable.
After years of stark minimalism and cool grays dominating interior design, it was refreshing to see designers embracing comfort, character and authenticity again.
One of the highlights for me was seeing how thoughtfully furniture is being designed right now. The curved sectionals and deep seating pieces were not only beautiful but incredibly inviting. Comfort has become a high priority in design, and clients are asking for spaces that feel peaceful and restorative but still functional for everyday living.
The lighting fixtures were absolutely stunning as well. Statement fixtures with sculptural forms and warm ambient glow were everywhere, and truly transformed the rooms they were placed in.
I was personally inspired by the incredible use of texture that made everything feel intentional and connected to nature.

What’s Trending Right Now in Interior Design
Design is trending towards spaces that feel designed for real life, not just for photographs. Rich wood tones, earthy neutrals, mossy greens, warm taupes, soft creams and layered textures combine to create spaces that feel grounded, calming and inviting.
My favorite takeaways from High Point Market
